Early years
On February 15, 1971, Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin was born in Burutu, Warri, Delta State, Nigeria.
Between 1981 and 1986, he attended Zuokumor Elementary School in Burutu L.G.A., Delta State, for his primary education.
He attended Gbesa Grammar School in Ojobo for secondary school between 1986 and 1992.
He is married to Anthonia Fufeyin, and the two of them have five kids. He was raised in a polygamous household and is the 22nd of his father’s (the late Livingson Stevenson Toboukeyei Fufeyin and Asetu’s) 36 children to be born.
Controversy and criticism
Fufeyin has drawn criticism for his outspoken acts of generosity, his public obsession with demons, and his current concentration on “deliverance.”
He gave about N300 million to his staff, churchgoers, and the Nigerian government during the COVID-19 pandemic. Fufuyin also gave back their sacrifices and tithes, signaling that the time had come to reciprocate. Fufeyin has also come under fire for claiming to be T. B. Joshua’s first son, a claim he has passionately refuted, saying that while he respects all men of God, including T. B. Joshua, he has never claimed to be the first son. He goes by the monikers “Warri TB Joshua,” “Niger Delta TB Joshua,” and “Ijaw TB Joshua.” By saying that he is simply Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, he rejected those monikers.
On April 1, 2017, Fufeyin appeared to have defended Suleman Johnson from his sexual misconduct incident by calling him “innocent.”
In April 2022, Fufeyin filed a lawsuit against Pastor Johnmark Ighosotu, accusing him of character slander and cyber conspiracies in response to a confession made in Ighosotu’s church that contained allegations that Fufeyin had engaged in fraudulent behavior.
