If they say Christians from the south can’t be FCT ministers, then what makes a Muslim from the north qualified?- Nabena Blows Hot on Guma over Wike leading Abuja

If someone claims that Christians from the southern region are not qualified to become FCT ministers, then what criteria are used to determine the qualifications of a Muslim from the northern region? Nabena expresses strong opinions about Guma’s actions towards Wike.

Yekini Nabena, who used to be the Acting APC National Publicity Secretary, has shared his concerns about the selection process for high-level government positions in the FCT and other northern states.

He did that because Alhaji Gumi recently made some comments where he referred to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the FCT, as “satanic.”

Gumi shared a 14-minute sermon on his official Facebook page where he discussed his beliefs.

He expressed his disagreement with the Nigerian government by making some provocative statements, particularly criticizing Wike’s meeting with the Israeli ambassador.

An excerpt of his speech goes as follows: “If people like Gumi and others are saying a Southern Christian (especially from the oil-rich Niger Delta) cannot hold the positions of FCT Ministry and the Senate President, we demand explanations on what qualifies a Northern Muslim in the leadership of agencies like NIMASA, NNPCL, NPDC, NLNG, NPA, and so on.”
