38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
41 Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

MFM Devotional For Today 2024 MESSAGE:
Parts of the most crucial members of the body are the eyes; they are the power centre of the whole body. The eyes are also an illumination channel to the body. That was why Jesus said in Matthew 6:22 that “the light of the body is the eye, if therefore your eye be single, your whole body will be full of light.” In other words, if the eye can be the light of the body, it can also be the darkness of the body depending on what you feed it with. However, there are eyes that are more powerful than our physical eyes; they are called the eyes of the mind or better put the eyes of your understanding. It excusable if you lose your physical eyes; however, if you lose the eyes of your understanding, you are doomed. Men go far and high in life not by their physical eyes but by the inner eyes, because the inner eyes generate insights and only men with insights get to greater heights. All around the world, we have seen men who lost their physical eyes, yet were able to make significant contributions to their generation. Among them are Fanny Crosby, Ray Charles and Cobhams, a gospel musician from Nigeria, who never had physical eyes but also refused to sell the eyes of their understanding.
Accessing the life of the word of truth from the pages of the Bible requires the engagement of the eyes of your understanding more than the physical eyes. The difference between the normal Christian and the fervent one is the enlightenment of their inner eyes. How far we will go in the Christian faith is determined by how deep we are able to know of the One who has called us to show forth His praise. For this reason, Paul prayed for the body of Christ in Ephesians 1 and asked that God give them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Himself and enlighten the eyes of their understanding to know the hope of their calling. The Apostle knew that men would not go far with God until the eyes of their understanding were enlightened. Men whose eyes have been enlightened by the Lord have no limitation in God.
MORNING
- O Lord my Father, open the eyes of my understanding, in the name of Jesus.
- Fire of the living God, flood away the ignorance limiting my capacity, in the name of Jesus.
- Fire of the living God, remove every scale placed in my eyes, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Every veil placed on mind to hinder me from accessing the wonders of God’s word, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
- Ignorance of my father’s lineage, determined to cage my capacity in God, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
